Celluleaf

Celluleaf is a medical device for minimally invasive severing of connective tissue when treating cellulite, scars, performing skin grafting and other applications. The goal is to create a simpler, safer, and more efficient next-generation alternative to existing products.

Celluleaf is designed to minimize damage to important tissue structures like the blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatics.

Main application:

Cellulite

Cellulite affects around 90% of adult women and manifests itself as a dimpled skin surface in the area of the thighs and buttocks. Many of the women with cellulite find their quality of life strongly affected. However, out of many available treatment options only minimally invasive subcision surgery has shown proven long-term effects. During subicison surgery the strands of connective tissue that cause cellulite are disrupted under the skin. Celluleaf is designed to perform this procedure especially gently: the connective tissue strands are disrupted while the nerves and blood vessels remain undamaged. This minimizes the risk of complications. In addition, Celluleaf is portable and easy to use, making the treatment more accessible to both patients and doctors.

Cellulite skin dimples develop as the connective tissue strands or "septae" pull downwards, while fat deposits swell upwards. By severing these strands with minimally-invasive subcision surgery, the smooth surface of the skin can be restored.
